Wednesday night, Scott and I went out on our first date night since Sawyer arrived. Our good friends Erin and Rachel came over to babysit. From their recounting of the evenings events, it went pretty well. With the exception of a few mis-matched snaps on the bottom of Sawyer’s pj’s, I would say it was perfect, and we can’t thank them enough. Someday we may even remember to take a picture of Sawyer and Rachel for the blog to go along with the ones we have of Erin.

Sawyer was his happy little self in the morning. Usually we awake to see little feet flying back and forth, up and down, and in and out of the top and sides of the crib. No matter how tired I am, this always brings a smile to my face. This morning, Sawyer was not only bringing a smile to my face, he was making me laugh out loud.

Notice his roosterdo hair peeking out up top.

It is amazing to me how he can wake up almost every morning with the biggest, brightest smile. It is what a Visa commercial would call “Priceless”.
