Abby had an appointment this afternoon, so I came home to have lunch with Sawyer. After he devoured his meal of a mozzarella cheese stick and “Sweet Potato Cinnamon Bisque Soup with Chicken,” we went downstairs for a little exercise.

I have always wanted to take him down there, as it’s wide open with plenty of room to move around, and I figured it would be fun for him to go more than ten feet without stopping to turn around. He was definitely distracted by all of the things around him, especially the two people on treadmills, but I think he enjoyed it. Here he is at the tail end of his first lap around the loop:

Last night, Sawyer briefly stood up on his own, without any help from us. Of course since then he’s been unable to duplicate his feat, largely due to the fact that he never stops moving!
