The rain finally let up this past weekend, not that it was ever really all that bad just non-stop, so Abby and I took Sawyer over to The Embarcadero to let him run around for a bit. Nothing wears him out like a good solid half-hour of fun watching birds, looking at boats in the bay, ooohing at bicycles, pointing at dogs, and smiling at people.
We had no sooner crossed the street when Sawyer took off on his green grasshopper:
I can’t believe he stopped just before ramming into the concrete barrier. Can you tell how much he loves the bay?
This is the first time he’s self-propelled his grasshopper, I have a feeling we’ll be hard-pressed to keep up with him very soon:
Sawyer loves that little park, especially since the trains go by every few minutes, he’s always turning his head to look for them. He usually gets to pet a dog or two, but there weren’t any friendly ones out that day. Better luck next time, I’m sure.
And doesn’t he look great in the sweater my Grandmother, his GG, bought and the hat Abby made for him!
btw, I had an MRI done on my right foot last week and my doctor immediately put me in an aircast to prevent my plantar fascia from snapping. That’s why the videos are so jumpy — each step on my booted right foot shakes the camera in my right hand. I’m getting better at walking with it, and I’ll take more care when moving with the camera next time. =)
