A friend of mine gave us his tickets to the baseball game on Saturday, so Abby, Sawyer, and I bundled up for a night at the ballpark. There was also a free bear for all kids under 14, which made the fact that Sawyer just learned that word this week even better:

He really likes to explore the space, fortunately all of those around us helped keep him entertained and safe:

I had a hankering for popcorn when we arrived, but I had no idea I would have to share so much of it with Sawyer:

This isn’t his first “no” but he sure is getting really good at it:

Last but not least, he really loves to run down the ramps in our basement. I was nervous at first, but he kept it together well:

Oh, and happy birthday to my Mom, Grandma Penny. Hope to see you and Grandpa Steve soon!

Be warned, Sarah, this video of Sawyer eating breakfast is messy as usual. This is from last Tuesday morning:

I realize I say it every time, but this really might be the funniest video of Sawyer to date. Look at the way he plays with my brother Kevin, his reaction to the crowd’s roar, his dancing and clapping, and so much more:

Sawyer didn’t last long after this video was taken, it was hot and he was very tired from all of the excitement. Abby took him home and he promptly went right to sleep.

As promised, here are the pictures from Scott, Kevin, and Sawyer’s Monday morning sea lions adventure. There aren’t as many sea lions this time of year, but they were every bit as entertaining:

Sawyer was only somewhat interested initially:

He preferred to push his buggy around, but stopped to sneak a peek every now and then too:

Back at it with the buggy:

Thankfully he can’t climb fences yet:

Nope, gone:

I think he liked the sea lions better from a distance:

The fog was just starting to burn off over the city, and it turned into a beautiful day for a ballgame:

I always love seeing the sea lions when Kevin visits, and I know Sawyer will grow to love it too, especially since it involves spending time with his Uncle Kevin.

Kevin and I took Sawyer to see the sea lions this morning, since it’s always number one on the list when he visits. Sawyer wasn’t entirely sure what to think of them, instead he took every chance to run away from me whenever he could.

There weren’t as many sea lions today, and it wasn’t all that warm, so the stench was almost bearable. Sawyer and Kevin make a brief appearance at the end:

Here’s a quick taste of Sawyer on the run:

I’ll post the photographs of the sea lions tomorrow, then the videos of the baseball game on Wednesday.

Abby started working with Sawyer on his jumping skills a few weeks ago. This week Sawyer really took a liking to it, spontaneously crouching and pushing with all of his might to get just an inch off the ground. It doesn’t always work, in fact it rarely does, but he laughs and laughs when he does it.

I don’t know who’s having more fun, Sawyer or me and Abby:

How cute is this kid?

I had to promise to play with that ball each and every day before it was given to us, fortunately Sawyer makes it easy. He even wants it in his crib at night before he goes to sleep.

Never a dull moment.

He’s still practicing eating with a spoon. You wouldn’t know by these pictures, but he is getting slightly better.

Oh so messy.

Oh so messy.

Please note, the plate is upside down.

Oh so messy.

“All done!”

Oh so messy.

“I’m getting down…NOW!”

I'm getting down now!

Sometimes Sawyer actually slows down for long enough to sleep, and he looks so cute while he does.

Asleep.

Here is the video of Sawyer playing on the parachute. I think the little girl is trying to help him, but I’m not quite sure what she wants him to do. I’m pretty sure he is one of the youngest out there, but he doesn’t seem to mind at all

Sawyer is getting really good at using a straw. It is much easier, however, when the cup is full.

Pretty good using a straw.

Soccer anyone?

Soccertots begins with Sawyer in about a month! I think he will be ready.

Oops. I guess that was too many.
