I was going to name this post, “Sawyer gets cranky at the De Young, eats some pizza, wears his monkey undies, and colors with his Grandma,” but that was too long. True, but a bit much.
After SoccerTots in the morning, Sawyer took a big nap. When he woke, we went to the Cal Academy, or tried to but couldn’t since it was free for all that day, and much too crowded:
Instead we went to the De Young Museum to take in the view (as usual on days like this one, there’s a little bit of blue sky above the Financial District):
Everywhere else is covered in fog:
We live close to the big white building in the middle:
Sawyer started out cute and calm with the binky:
I love this picture:
But quickly turned ornery:
And then violent. End of that story. After an extended break at the park, and lots of swinging, we grabbed some pizza and headed back home. I put on Sawyer’s monkey undies for comedic relief:
Coloring with his meema:
He prefers to eat crayons, not pizza. Keeping his k-ons out of his mouth is a never-ending battle, but one that my mom handled quite well:
Nothing works better than Pampa’s arm for racing cars:

Sawyer, that was the best time ever!! But now we know why people start their families in their 20’s & 30’s. We were exhausted but wouldn’t have changed anything. We are looking forward to coming again!
