Sawyer

When I first saw the announcement for the block party, I made a mental note but didn’t think much else about it. When we came from home SoccerTots on Saturday and saw the gigantic bounce houses in the middle of the street, I knew immediately that I sorely underestimated my neighbors. It was really cool to see:

Sawyer wasn’t too sure of the bounce house at first:

But after lunch, a good nap, and a change of clothes, he was much more adventurous:

He loved seeing Abby on the other side of the net:

And even on the inside too:

It only looks like he’s standing still:

He’s bouncing in circles:

He even got to enjoy his first orange pushup, as you might imagine it was messy and very sticky, but he didn’t seem to mind:

I was able to get him somewhat cleaned up, and even managed to put his shoes back on, so we could walk over to listen to one of the many bands that played that day. Abby brilliantly pointed out that they sounded like a Hoops and Yoyo soundtrack! So true:

All in all, it was a beautiful day to play outside. Sawyer loved every second of it, so much so that he was very disappointed not to see the bounce houses in the middle of the street this morning. He went to the window, turned to me, said bounce, and then proceeded to bounce all across the living room floor. Not quite the same sensation, but he didn’t seem to mind.
