Last week, Sawyer and I went to visit Lila and Maria, who are friends and co-workers from Levi’s. I actually came to know Lila when we moved here through another friend. Lila’s husband, Eric, is a former Ohioan and Miami grad, although neither Scott nor I knew him when we were in school.
Lila and Eric were one of the first friends to come visit shortly after Sawyer was born. They brought us the best diner from our now favorite Chinese restaurant, Eliza’s. Teachers in our baby classes told us how nice it is to have people bring over food for us during those first couple of weeks. It was the absolute best gift - second only to Scott’s parents continuously rocking Sawyer when we came home from the hospital, allowing us to shower and nap. It will be so nice when we can return the favor for Eric and Lila!
As we started the Sawyer blog several weeks after he was born, I never posted the pictures of their first visit. Lila is a very loyal follower of the blog, so I am so happy to finally post the pictures. It is such appropriate timing with Sawyer just turning four months old. The pictures tell the story of just how much he has grown. This first picture was taken when he was three days old.
Here is Sawyer with Maria. Maria and I have worked on the same team at Levi’s for the past three years.
Sawyer and I played in the park a while longer after Lila and Maria went back into work. It was an extremely beautiful day in the park.
