Luckily for you, Abby let me open my Father’s Day gift last night so I had my Flip Mino video camera to share Sawyer’s antics with you.
Some of you may already know that Sawyer cut his first tooth yesterday morning. It’s barely through the skin, but more visible with each new day — well, when his now overactive isn’t covering it up (more on that in a bit). But that’s one of the reasons why he’s been so restless lately, the other primary one being that he just never slows down.
We begin today’s post just after 6 am. In retrospect, I ought to have known that he would see the camera and immediately ramp up for play-time:
He eventually slept again, but it turned out to be little more than just enough for me and Abby to fall back into a deep sleep. After being abruptly awakened once again, Sawyer and I came downstairs to give Abby a little extra time, and that’s when she remembered that it was his six month birthday (I think he knew all along)!
And now for the shenanigans. The only thing Sawyer loves more than seeing his reflection in the mirror is chewing on the mirror’s cover — just look at the way he wrestles with it. If only that were enough to keep him occupied, but no, he’s now discovered the coffee table tastes good too!
Abby told me about his first incident with the coffee table on Wednesday, but I hadn’t seen it in action until this morning, and I’m so happy that I had the camera on at the same time. Expect to see more of these quick videos, since they’re as easy to take as photographs and only take a little extra time to upload.
